The history of the Royal Church Choir St. Gregorius Kelmis, 164 years of church choir tradition in the parish of Kelmis. The Kelmis Church Choir St. Gregorius, founded in 1858, currently has 32 singers. Since 2013, the choir has been led by conductor and opera singer Maria Mironova. The vocal repertoire includes both religious and profane songs from all eras. In the course of its history, the choir has played at numerous anniversaries and concerts, far beyond the national borders. Notable are the participation in the Kelmiser Passion Play, the performance of opera concerts, the recording of a Christmas CD and the participation in the Aachen Choir Biennale

A male choir with the stately age of 185 years. A special achievement of this choir is the beautiful sonorous sound and the excellent musical level. It has an extensive repertoire and has performed in many avenues of Europe. Conductor Emmanuël Pleijers Emmanuël Pleijers studied church music, choral and orchestral conducting at the Conservatories of Liège and Maastricht. He gave various choral lessons for the LSO, the Groot Omroepkoor and the Maastricht Conservatory. In 2000 he was appointed honorary conductor of the Men's Choir St. Caecilia in Gulpen and in November 2019 honorary conductor of the Sittard's Men's Choir. He is conductor of the Heerlen Oratorio Society, and the Royal Caecilia Choir from Heer.
