Triotique is a young and fresh chamber music trio with a passion for classical music. Sisters Elke and Frauke Elsen have played together since they were little. In their search for a unique form of chamber music, they came across pianist Margot Welleman.
In addition to putting music for woodwinds in the spotlight, the ladies of Triotique have a big heart for music by female composers. Triotique concerts invariably feature works by women on the programme.
In collaboration with Veerle Janssens (woman at the piano) they play the works of Amy Beach, Andrée Bonhomme, Melani Bonis, Nadia Boulanger, Fanny Mendelssohn, Clara Wieck, Annelies van Paradys and Pauline Viardot-Garcia.
Veerle Janssen talks about special women who compose. A concert with a special view on good, wrongly “neglected” music. Fortunately, that is changing.
“Woman at the Piano” is a search for special, musical women, for unrecognized and even stunted talent, for virtuosity and hidden passion. But also a journalist's search for herself in a year marked by drastic changes in her life. A year of imagination and dreams.
Don't miss this special experience. We look forward to seeing you on Wednesday, October 23 at Dominicanen Boekhandel at 19.30:XNUMX PM.
